One of the many places I keep a home is in the late 20th century.I was given the name Polly Anne upon my birth by my father, David, and my mother, Janis, in the lovely city of Lakewood, California. I don't remember much of my time there.
After about a year, we moved to the nearby city of Bellflower, where my brother David Eino was born. I still don't remember anything.
After that, we had a ranch in Hemet. We kept chickens, horses, and we had a cow. It was there that I learned a healthy respect for red ants and David for bees.
Then came life and school in Whittier, where I lived until I was 7. It was in this house that I remember seeing my first aparition. It's also there that I put a dent in David's head when I pushed him off of the porch railing during a game of follow-the-leader with one of our best friends BD (short for Big David).
Pico Rivera was my home for a month in the middle of third grade. We were with my grandmother at the time. My eldest cousin would come over and we'd set fire to his model tanks and gliders. He was a bad influence, for certain. His greatest stunt was after we had built the river system in my grandmothers back, back yard (she had a yard on either side of the garage, so had two back yards). He put in some gasolene and set the whole thing on fire, complete with quite a few model boats.
Next we lived in East Whittier. This was during the '80s and we were poor. It was not the most enjoyable time and I became very shy due to the cruelty of my fellow classmates. Although it was here that I had my first kiss. Unfortunately it was with a boy that stole my bike to get it. I lived there long enough to attend exactly one month of high school at La Serna.
Next, I lived in Anaheim. I eventually graduated from Western High School. I had become quite the lazy student by then. After graduation I became a lazy student at Cypress Community College. My most anticipated class was archery. It was also during this time that I got my first real job. It was for Medieval Times, and now that I've had a decent job to compare it to, it was a horrific experience. I nearly caught pneumonia do to their indifference to the welfare of their employees. It was because of the archery class that I met the man that I eventually married.
After a very brief courtship of less than a month, Seamus MacLeod and I got engaged. After coming home far later than I should have for several months, I eventually moved in with him to Compton. We both lived in a house with his parents, which worded very well except for the lack of pets. I have had pets for my entire life except for two periods and I didn't like it one bit.
After a couple of years, Seamus arranged with a mutual friend for us to move to a house in Hawthorne. This worked out rather well but for the fact that several of us ran into job and car trouble and one of the roomies was a kleptomaniac. Eventually the arrangement fell apart and we moved back to Compton where we stayed for nearly another year.
Eventually, arrangements were made for the rental of a house in Lakewood, the city of my birth. The household was to consist of my mother, the lease holder, Seamus and me, and my brother. It was a two bedroom with a guest room and was merely adequate. After approximately 8 months, the owner of the house decided she wanted to sell it and attempted to evict us. This was rather laughable as we had already arranged to move our household to a new place approximately 2 miles away. The eviction papers arrived on the day we made our last trip with the moving van and were full of errors. We had a good laugh over them.
We now reside in North Long Beach, with the addition of David's girlfriend, Jenni. For quite some time, we had difficulties with employment and we are still plagued by our cars, but things have stabilized.
The household also includes 5 cats and a dog. One cat for each of us. The dog is shared.
This is the identity that I keep quite active, on a nearly daily basis. Some of my haunts include renaissance faires not referred to as 'Southern' and LAX area gaming conventions.
I have fleshed it out. It is by no means even remotely complete, but I have included quite a bit.
